Dutton-Goldfield Rued Vineyard Chardonnay Wine

I had this wine with dinner tonight (June 16, 2008) and it was great not too oak-y like other chardonnays I've tasted before! (like I know SO much about wine - ha!) Yeah I will attest to that! Wine is defined by one thing- You remember it! There is nothing more to it. You will remember this; where you where, who you were with, when, the food you had with the wine, the ambiance, the time, and many other details. It’s a specific memory that your mine will not erase!

My husband says it’s the "greatest piece of dirt in all of Russian River Valley; the vineyard was planted in 1969 by Warren Dutton. It's only a five acre piece of land and is the oldest chardonnay vineyard in that region. Dan Goldfield is the winemaker; and is considered the premier winemaker in America for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay." Is there anything to add here? I think not!

It’s a great bottle of wine, you should try it… “if you can find it, because it’s a rare wine” my husband says over my shoulder as he watches me type this blog. Just to make sure I get it right. Yeah I am here and I know that I am right! Since she will believe everything I say! Hahahaha!
